New system proposal
Introduction
Within the last few years, the concept of traditional schooling has changed significantly. Being physically present in a classroom is no longer the only way to learn – at least, not with the growth of the internet and new technology. Nowadays, as long as you have access to the internet, you can acquire a quality education anytime and wherever you choose. The platforms that are present in today’s world for educational purposes are not completely inclusive.
Our SDG , which is SDG 4, is about quality education. Making education more inclusive and easily accessible for the under privileged group of children. For that reason it is necessary for us to create something that benefits the B40 community and brings profit to them without costing a bunch for accessing education.
Existing System Problem
After examining various existing educational systems, there were many limitations we noticed in the systems.
The systems don’t work for mobile and almost all of the assignments have to be done on the computer. Not everyone has the luxury of affording a computer
Most of the education platforms are paid and they provide quality content when you pay for it.
In most educational apps, you cannot scan and upload written answers directly into the app while taking exams.
Schedule for classes not shown in most educational apps.
Most of the learning platforms are exclusive to a few countries and universities or students.
No notifications and alarm features in educational apps.
Most of the online learning system has poor support. You can not contact them when you face any problem.
In online learning courses there's lots of fake courses . People get scammed and waste their money and time.
Most educational apps don't provide a download feature for the videos in the app.
This means that users would have to have the internet whenever they want to watch them.
Description of the new app
“learnALL” is a platform where students can see and listen to instructors' pre-recorded lectures or chapter-by-chapter sessions and more. Students will have easy access to the classroom at any moment of the day as a result of this arrangement. With video content, students can take advantage of features such as zooming in on a specific image and rewinding or fast-forwarding to whatever point they wish. The app will be more device friendly and the framework more diverse for both smaller and bigger devices so that students can use different devices easily. Not only that, students require something that is visually attractive and easier to learn with eye catching design. The app will have a feature that allows users to scan and upload pictures without having to use other apps outside the learning app or having to change to using the browser. Our system will implement automatic creation of the timetable for students based on their enrolled courses. Students are forced to make their own timetables which is time consuming. After the timetable has been created, students can download it. If students change subjects or their time, the system will update the changes too. The app will have a feature for lecturers and educators to record themselves while giving lecture to their class so that underprivileged students can get a chance to learn in a proper environment.The Inclusion of university and school lectures from world wide and make the demographic more diverse. Our educational app will have a feature to allow students to create alarms and receive notifications. This way students can be alerted as to when they have a class coming up. We will create an option for online classes,
where the video meeting link used by the lecturer can be straight up added to the students Google calendar and students can get reminders for class and access the class link. Feature a way for students to access and view a map of the educational institute they go to and be able to look at and download. This will assist students in moving about their campus. Institutes will have to provide their maps for us to feature in the app. Online student support systems will be taken seriously. Their contact information has to be genuine and can reply within 24 hours.
Authorities need to check every course and take action for fake courses. Only genuine courses should be in the system.Users will be able to download the educational videos and watch them offline whenever they please.
Target Audience
Students
The app will be open for students and their help in terms of their education, asking for help to solve their problems. Or getting education from different universities on subjects that they are interested in.
Schools/Universities
The schools and universities will get to engage their students and students outside of their institutes.
B40 community/underprivileged community
- The underprivileged or B40 community is our main focus to create a space for the people willing to learn can get a place to learn without creating financial problems for them. Education should be inclusive to everyone. That is our focus with this
